    The Chapter is actively performing the activities as envisaged in the charter of the Institute of Town Planners India and arranging Workshops, Seminars, presentation on relevant topics Rain Water Harvesting, procedure to deal with applications received under Right to Information Act, Solar Water Heating Systems regularly and Orientation-cum-Training Programme for newly inducted Assistant Town Planners in the Department of Town and Country Planning, Haryana. The Chapter is also bringing out its Newsletters at-least twice a year. The Chapter has also organised 2 North Zone Congresses, first in the year 2003-04 and the second in the year 2009-10. Almost 80% of the recommendations have been adopted and implemented by the Government through Town and Country Planning Department and HUDA. The Chapter has organized first NTCP Congress in Haryana in the year 2010-11 from 9th to 11th February at Panchkula.
    The Chapter has brought out Two Souvenirs and Eight Newsletters.
    The Chapter had organized one week Orientation-cum-Training Programme for the newly appointed ATPs in the Department of Town and Country Planning in November, 2008.
    The Regional Chapter organized one day workshop on the theme of “Gurgaon: Planned Global City – A Myth or Reality” on 21.06.2008 at Gurgaon. This workshop was attended by eminent Town Planners and reputed professionals in the field of Engineering, Architecture and Real Estate Development. The technical papers were presented by Sh. S.D. Saini, Ex-Chief Town Planner (Haryana); Prof. M.R. Kulkarni, Head, Urban Development Division, HIPA; Sh. K.K. Yadav, Chief Town Planner, Urban Local Bodies Department (Haryana); Sh. R.C. Aggarwal, Ex-Chief Regional Planner (National Capital Region Planning Board); Sh. D.P. Singh, M/s DLF Ltd.; Sh. N.K. Sehgal, M/s Ansals; Sh. D.N. Verma, M/s Emmar MGF Ltd. The recommendations of the workshop were referred to FCTCP, Haryana for favorable consideration by the Government and respective Development Authorities so as to meet the expectations of the residents of Gurgaon in particular and Haryana in general.
    A Workshop was organized on the theme “Recent Trends in Town Planning: Prospects and Challenges” 27.06.09 at DCRUST, Murthal Sonipat. The Workshop was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of DCRUST and largely attended by the representatives of industries, Sector Welfare Associations, Real Estate Developers, Students and teachers of department of Architecture of DCRUST.
    The Chapter organized 3rd North Zone Congress of ITPI on 07.11.09 on the theme “Land - A Resource for Development Planning”. The Conference was inaugurated by Sh. T.C. Gupta, Director, Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana and key note address was delivered by Sh. D.S. Meshram, President-ITPI. The Conference was attended by more than 100 delegates from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Council Members from various states and representatives of Real Estate Developers.
    One day conference on the theme " Transport Planning: Issues and Way Forward" was organized on 20 Sep 2014 at Unitech South City Gurgaon. Mr. Rajvir Singh was the convener of the conference with Mr. S.S. Chauhan STP and Mr. Dilbag Singh as committee members of the Event Management Committee. The conference was very well conducted and had large gathering of members, residents of RWAs of Gurgaon and office bearers of Municipal Corporation. Mr. Anurag Rastogi IAS, Director General Town and Country Planning was chief guest. Recommendations of the Conference were sent to the concerned departments for consideration under intimation to ITPI.
    One day seminar on the theme "Smart Cities" was held on 13 Dec 2014 at ITPI-HRC Panchkula. Event Management Committee comprising Mr. Nadim Akhtar, Mr. P.P. Singh and Mr. R.S. Batth had organized the seminar very well. Efforts were made to involve young members in the presentation of the topic. Guru Ram Dass School of Planning, GNDU Amritsar and SPA New Delhi also participated with their faculty members and students. The seminar was well conducted and attended by large gathering. Sh Vineet Garg,IAS Managing Director HSIIDC was the Chief Guest. Recommendations of the Seminar were sent to the Chief Secretary Haryana for consideration of the Government under intimation to ITPI. ITPI has also released the grant for holding the Seminar.
    The ITPI Regional Chapters of the North Zone were invited to participate in the conference on the theme "Preservation of Natural Resources - States Initiatives" was organized on 01 August, 2015. Dr. D.S. Meshram, Ex-President ITPI, Dr. A.N. Sachithanandan, President ITPI, Sh. K.S. Akode, Vice President ITPI, Prof. Najammuuddin, Secretary General ITPI and certain other council members of ITPI, New Delhi, participated in the conference. Large number of delegates from Punjab, Himachal, Delhi, Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh attended. The young members of ITPI-HRC were encouraged to take active part in the deliberations. The event was a great success and professionally motivating.
    An interactive session on the theme “Saving Environment - Recent Trends and Initiatives” was organized on 04.06.2016 at Morni. The session was inaugurated by Senior Most Member of ITPI Sh. R.P. Singh.
    A program on Van Mahotsav was organized on 16.07.2016 at Sanskiriti Government Senior Secondary School, Sector-20, Panchkula in association with the ECO club of school and 280 saplings were planted in the school premises.
    An interactive session on the theme "Transit Oriented Development" - Implications and Considerations was organized on 19.11.2016 at Gurugram. The session was inaugrated by chief guest Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Head Urban Planning, SPA, New Delhi.
    A seminar on the theme "Affordable Housing - Challenges and Solutions" was organized on 04.02.2017 at ITPI-HRC, Panchkula. The seminar was inaugrated by chief guest Dr. D.S. Meshram, President ITPI, New Delhi.
    A workshop on the theme "Regional Disparities - Methods and Techniques" was held at ITPI-HRC on 22.04.2017. A research study was also got conducted by ITPI-HRC on the topic and the same was released during the workshop.
    A seminar on the theme “Land Acquisition for Urbanization – Strategy and Alternatives (Partnership Model for Haryana) was organized on 07.10.2017 (Saturday). The seminar was inaugurated by chief guest Dr. D.S. Meshram, President Emeritus, ITPI, New Delhi.
    On the occasion of ‘World Town Planning Day’, the Institute of Town Planners, India, Haryana Regional Chapter (ITPI-HRC), Panchkula organized an awareness campaign on “Town Planning Profession” on 8th November, 2017. The students and teachers of various schools of Panchkula had participated. It was attended by more than 90 delegates including Executive members of HRC.
    The Institute of Town Planners, India - Haryana Regional Chapter, Panchkula had organized one day Seminar on 02.12.2017 at Gurugram on the theme "Urban Transportation-Challenges and Solutions", in which Sh. V. Umashankar, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Gurugram and Additional CEO, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority was the chief guest. The seminar was attended by more than 100 delegates. Sh. Raj Vir Singh (Ex CTP) and Research Team of ITPI-HRC consisting of Ms. Gurpreet Kaur and Ms. Rajdeep Kaur presented a research study on "Planning for Pedestrian and Cycle Movement". The research study on was also released on the occasion and a copy of the same is enclosed. The study is also available on website itpihrc.org.in for reference and guidance.
